Privacy Policy

Overview

Svarene is a local-first perimenopause wellness app for iPhone and Android. No Svarene account is required, and your primary health record is stored in app-private storage on your device. Optional features transmit limited information only when you choose to use them.

Svarene does not sell health data, use health data for advertising, or include a mobile advertising or analytics SDK. Platform and service providers may still process limited technical, purchase, request, or operational information under their own policies.

Svarene is a wellness and educational tool. It is not a medical device, diagnosis service, treatment service, or substitute for a qualified clinician.

Information Stored on Your Device

Information you choose to record may include symptoms and severity, cycle and bleeding entries, mood, energy, sleep, notes, treatments, supplements, lab entries, health profile information, settings, local Vee history, and locally derived patterns. This primary record remains in Svarene's local database on your device.

Svarene does not require your name, email address, username, or password for core tracking. Local information remains on your device until you delete it in the app, clear app data, or uninstall the app, subject to your device and backup settings.

Vee — Optional AI Companion

Vee is optional. Before the first chat, Svarene asks for consent. When you choose Send, your message, recent conversation turns, limited structured health context needed to respond, a country code when supplied, and a random installation-scoped rate-limit token may pass through Svarene's Supabase relay to Anthropic.

Svarene does not automatically send Vee your full database, name, email address, photos, backup files, exported reports, or exact location. Please avoid typing personal identifiers you do not want transmitted. Vee chat history is stored on your device, although recent turns may be sent again during an active conversation for continuity.

Svarene does not keep a server-side transcript archive. Hosting infrastructure briefly logs each request's IP address and approximate location for operations and security, and content-free hashed rate-limit counters are retained for up to 7 days. Vee conversations are not used to train Anthropic's models. Anthropic processes API inputs and outputs under its commercial terms and generally retains them for up to 30 days for safety and security; content flagged for safety review may be reviewed by Anthropic staff.

If you explicitly request an optional AI summary for a Doctor Report, Svarene sends only the limited structured report context needed to draft it. Generated content may be incomplete or incorrect and is not a diagnosis or medical advice.

Optional Weather & Environmental Context

When you enable weather and environmental context, Svarene may use a city you enter or a device location you permit to request weather, air-quality, UV, or pollen information from Open-Meteo. Open-Meteo receives the location information needed for that request; Svarene does not send your symptom database, name, email address, or Vee chat to Open-Meteo.

You can use Svarene without granting location permission. Location access can be managed in your phone's settings. Comparisons between environmental conditions and what you record are designed to be processed on your device and are presented as possible context, not proof of cause or a diagnosis.

Purchases & Subscriptions

Svarene is free to download and may offer optional monthly and annual Premium subscriptions. Apple or Google displays the current price, billing period, eligibility, and purchase terms before you subscribe and processes your payment. Svarene does not receive or store your credit-card number.

RevenueCat helps manage subscription status and access to Premium. It may process product, transaction, entitlement, renewal, and a random installation-scoped subscriber identifier needed for that role. The identifier is pseudonymous and is not linked to a Svarene account or direct identity. Svarene does not send symptom, lab, treatment, note, or location values to RevenueCat as customer attributes.

Exports & Information You Share

When you create a Doctor Report or another export, Svarene generates the file at your request. You choose whether and where to save or share it. Exported files may contain sensitive health information and are governed by the privacy and security of the destination you choose.

Svarene cannot delete copies you have saved, shared, printed, or moved outside the app. Review an export before sharing it and use a secure destination.

Device Authentication

If you enable Face ID, Touch ID, or device authentication inside Svarene, authentication is handled by your device. Svarene does not receive or store your biometric data.

Your Choices & Controls

• Use core tracking without creating a Svarene account.
• Choose whether to use Vee and revoke its consent in Settings.
• Choose whether to grant location permission or use optional environmental context.
• Review or cancel subscriptions through Apple or Google.
• Delete local app data from Svarene's Settings.
• Choose whether and where to save or share an export.

Deleting local data does not delete Apple or Google purchase records, provider-controlled operational records, messages already processed by an optional service, or files you previously shared outside Svarene.

Security & Limitations

Svarene uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to a local-first wellness app. No device, transmission, or service can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device updated and protected, and share exports carefully.

Children

Svarene is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Changes & Contact

We may update this policy when Svarene or its providers change. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented through an appropriate app, store, or website notice.
