"It's just stress." Is it, though?

In a survey of 1,000 U.S. women, 53% put their symptoms down to stress and 4 in 10 had never considered perimenopause. Symptoms go well beyond hot flashes: sleep problems, mood changes, joint aches and memory problems. And the word-finding trouble? In the SWAN study, learning dipped during perimenopause and bounced back after menopause.
